Project: Private Residential

Value: £1.5M

Client Representative: PiP Architects

Project Description

The client’s objective was to create an energy-efficient and sustainable home that reflects the character of nearby historic buildings and surrounding properties.

To achieve this, the design carefully combines both modern and traditional construction methods and materials. The external envelope of the house incorporates a range of finishes, including knapped flint stone walling, metal and timber cladding, as well as metal, slate, and green roofs.

The building was designed with high levels of insulation and integrates several sustainable technologies, including a ground source heat pump, a mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) system, solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, and a rainwater harvesting system.
